Jerry Kill Instructs Gophers to be "Uncommon"

The first season for Jerry Kill at TCF Bank was full of ups and downs. The Gophers finished 3-9 and he had a health scare along the way.

Kill said recently that he feels more comfortable going into his second season with the Gophers. He is especially  happy and excited about this year's recruiting class.

Kill went on to say in a recent interview in St. Cloud that a common theme for the Gophers this year "is to be uncommon.

To be successful, you have to be different. If we want to win, we have to be uncommon."

Gophers to be at TCF again soon vs. New Mexico State

The Gophers are nearly back at TCF Bank Stadium. I can almost taste it. The Gophers open the season at the Colliseum against USC, but they'll be back at TCF Bank Stadium to face New Mexico State. Spring Game at TCF Bank Stadium Review

On Saturday, I attended the Spring Game at TCF Bank Stadium. It was the first glimpse of Jerry Kill that I got to see. I attended the game with my brother, dad, and two relatives from the state of Florida. To call it a "spring" game might be misguided. It seemed like a late fall game, considering the weather was about 40 degrees. It's been a long winter.

MarQueis Gray quarterbacked the first team. I'm really excited to see how he plays this year. He's been waiting for his chance to play quarterback and now he has his chance. Moses Alipate quarterbacked the second group, and you can see he his a big body at 265 lbs. The second group got a ton of snaps, as expected in the spring game. Kill didn't show a whole lot and I can understand why. Either way I am excited to see his first season at Minnesota!

Thanks for a Great Season at TCF Bank Stadium Gopher Fans

With the season over, I wanted to say thanks to all Minnesota Gopher fans who went out and supported the team at TCF Bank Stadium this season. Although there wasn't necessarily a ton to cheer about this season, it shows how supportive the fanbase is. The season ended on a great note when they defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes to capture the Floyd of Rosedale Trophy. Jerry Kill has been announced the new head coach of the Minnesota Gopher football program, and I for one, am really excited. Can't wait until next year!
