There hasn't been an outdoor Minnesota Vikings game since 1981. Rookie quarterback Joe Webb is making his first career start. Can he lead the Minnesota Vikings to a victory over the Chicago Bears? There is snow on the way, anywhere 4-8 inches of snow. The Minnesota Vikings are also celebrating the Top 50 Minnesota Vikings of all-time. Get your Minnesota Vikings tickets from Ticket King!

Thanks for a Great Season at TCF Bank Stadium Gopher Fans

Jerry KillWith the season over, I wanted to say thanks to all Minnesota Gopher fans who went out and supported the team at TCF Bank Stadium this season. Although there wasn't necessarily a ton to cheer about this season, it shows how supportive the fanbase is. The season ended on a great note when they defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes to capture the Floyd of Rosedale Trophy. Jerry Kill has been announced the new head coach of the Minnesota Gopher football program, and I for one, am really excited. Can't wait until next year!

A New Gopher Coach at the Healm

New Minnesota Gopher Coach Jeff HortonMinnesota Gopher head coach Tim Brewster was fired after a 28-17 loss at Purdue last weekend. His tenure comes to an end and a new chapter will start at the University of Minnesota. Athletic Director Joel Maturi has promoted offensive coordinator Jeff Horton to interim head coach until the end of the season. While the possibilities of the next head coach have been thrown around endlessly since Brewster was fired, Horton is confident he can finish the season strong and make it tough on Maturi to let him walk. Tony Dungy has already stated he will help out his alma-mater in the process of selecting the next head coach. Get out to TCF Bank Stadium and cheer on new head coach Jeff Horton! Alcohol ban may be taken off at TCF

A bill is currently being passed through the Minnesota State Senate to take off the “all or nothing” law on selling alcohol at the TCF Bank Stadium. The U of M had earlier only wanted to sell alcohol in premium seating to cut back on the amount of drunken students roaming around the stadium section. The bill is backed by the Senate Finance Committee and now it needs to get passed through the full chamber. Since the U has roughly missed out on $1 million due to the alcohol ban, they have rethought their opinion. The U of M proposed they would give all the profits from the selling of alcohol at the TCF to athletic scholarships. There are a few raised eyebrows in the Minnesota House of Reps, so there’s no saying what will happen.
